2024 Transportation Master Plan

Stouffville has initiated the 2024 Transportation Master Plan ("TMP") to identify long-term road and transportation infrastructure needs and servicing strategies within the Town to support growth to 2051.

Project Overview

This Master Plan is an update to the Town’s TMP conducted in 2017 which will develop a long-term servicing strategy to accommodate future growth while analyzing capacity of existing transportation infrastructure within Whitchurch-Stouffville. The Master Plan will also explore potential Transportation servicing into the Gormley and Vandrof-Preston Lake communities from provincial and regional perspective. The expected outcome of the Master Plan will be recommendation of phased capital works programs based on strategic growth.

The Town wishes to ensure that anyone with an interest in this study has the opportunity to be involved and to provide input. Opportunities for input will include two Public Information Centres (PICs) as well as direct consultation with the project team. The time and location details of the PICs will be provided in advance of the information sessions. Project and engagement information will be available on the Town’s engagement platform ‘Come Together’ throughout the study, which can be accessed via the Town’s website for the 2024 TMP.

The Transportation Master Plan is at 30 days review period and your comments and feedback are important to us. Comments are duly accepted until February 19, 2024 through email at tmp2022@townofws.ca.
