O'Brien Avenue Reconstruction

Why is the design for O’Brien Ave reconstruction being completed?

The design will include necessary improvements to storm drainage, sanitary sewer, watermain, and road & sidewalk surface.

• The Town’s Water and Wastewater Master Plan recommends that the watermain on O’Brien Avenue from Main St. – Burkholder St. be upgraded.
• The Town’s pavement condition assessment program has identified the O’Brien Avenue pavement condition as poor.

The Town has started the O'Brien Avenue Reconstruction project. This includes:

• Site Investigation: Topographic & legal survey; Geotechnical investigation; Video-inspection of sewers; Site visits by the consultant
• Public Engagement: Make inquires with the Online Comment Form
  A Public Information Centre was held on December 14, 2023: Watch the video recording
• Design Services: production of design drawings and analysis which will ultimately deliver a completed construction tender package

The Town has retained the services of the engineering firm Exp Serivces Inc. to provide all investigation and design services. Exp Services Inc. has engaged various sub-consultants to assist with detailed data collection and site investigation.
