Lloyd Street Reconstruction

The Town has completed the design portion of the reconstruction of Lloyd Street. Lloyd Street reconstruction is planned from approximately 60m south of Main Street to its southern extent at Rose Avenue.

Work is anticipated to be similar to the recent work completed on Rose Avenue, Burkholder Street, and Russel Avenue. The design includes:

• Removal and replacement of watermain and water services
• Removal and replacement of sanitary sewer and service laterals
• Removal of remaining ditches and installation of storm sewer
• Installation of new field drains (behind curbs) for sump pump discharge collection
• Removal and replacement of road surface and base, including installation of wide curbs
• Removal of discontinuous east sidewalk
• Improvements/AODA-compliant west sidewalk
• Addition of parking lay-by at mail box

Construction Update

Week of 18 December:

• 18 December, 7am – 5pm: Temporary road asphalt installation (see notice)
• Winter shutdown preparations continue

Winter 2023 – Spring 2024:

• Winter maintenance (see Winter Shutdown notice)
• Notice will be issued when start date in Spring 2024 is known
